When I first began marketing I believed that people would listen to what I had to say about my business and either join or tell me that it was not for them. What I found out was, many people became what I would consider verbally hostile or rude. I want to share with you some MLM success strategies that could save you your business and years of making the same mistakes that I did. It is a sad reality that most people that go into business for themselves don’t make even $100 in network marketing. Most people that join a network marketing will quit their business in their first 90 days. If you can internalize this, it will be a huge load off your conscience because you don’t have to feel like you failed your new consultant.

One of the guys that I know is a top recruiter and often says that you must  have the skin of an alligator and the heart of a Lamb. I thought for the longest time that there must be some way that I can help reduce the attrition and while there are things you can do most people simply give up too easily.

Don’t Recruit People for Your New Consultant- you might put people’s names underneath this consultant but it is unlikely that they will bond together. Your new person feels like a castaway and the person who is the recipient of this new consultant will become dependent on your recruiting to build their business.

Encourage Regular Contact with Your New Consultant- Most people that begin their own marketing business come from an employee background rather than an entrepreneurial one. The problem with an employee mentality is that they tend to wait until they are directed to do something. This may be a major contributing factor to their ultimate failure. They are used to being told what to, do when to do it, how to do it, where to do it, and for how long. New consultants often wait for their sponsor to call them rather than taking charge of their business and making things happen. Tell your new consultant that they are not a bother and let them know that you are committed to helping them. Let them know that there is no such thing as a dumb question.

Have Your New Consultant write down Their “Why Statement “and a Commitment to Stay in the Business for a Minimum of 12 Months. Most network marketing businesses can be started with less than $1000 and so it makes it very easy to give up since their life will be relatively unaffected. If they had to remortgage their home in order to do the business getting a 12 month commitment would never even come up because they would be focusing on 5 to 10 years with their business. When things are going rough being reminded of why we’re doing our business can keep us in the game. When we write our commitments down on paper we increase the likelihood of fulfilling them.

Make Your Main Thing the Main Thing - One of the big mistakes that I made was to become the teacher. I devoted large blocks of time to coaching my new people. The problem with investing a lot of time with new people is that they end up with information overload. Give your new consultant a homework assignment and an explanation on how to complete it and then get out of the road. Keep your assignments simple and doable and have them commit to contacting you once the assignment is completed. Your primary mlm success strategy must be focus on recruiting and not spending hours teaching your team. As your group grows it may be necessary for you to hold weekly training sessions with your group so that you can leverage your time.

Would you like to really know truth the network marketing elite? What is the MLM success strategy that leads to huge success in network marketing? But why is it that two people become successful and 98 people make little or nothing yet marketing the same products or services with the same compensation plan and leadership running their company? Is it that the 2% have some magic pixie dust? Did they become successful just because they were at the right place at the right time or do they have some quality that they were born with that just makes them win without effort?

If you haven’t read Mike Dillard’s “Magnetic Sponsoring” then I would encourage you to do so today. You went into network marketing because you wanted to make some extra income or perhaps replace your previous income. Either way you got into network marketing to generate income and you can choose consciously to be in the top 2% or in the bottom 98%. If this sounds rather over the top and in-your-face it’s intended to be.

Working hard by itself is not going to create massive wealth; however, working smart will. Mike Dillard talks extensively about the Alpha male personality. This person is strong and has a huge vision with enough passion and charisma that they can draw thousands to their feet with only a few spoken words. They make up many of the stereotype personalities that we love to watch at the theater. The hero who is willing to face impossible odds and become victorious.

The Alpha male attracts people to him or her because of a willingness and drive to leave the comfort of the pack. They would rather die fighting than to ever play it safe. They are decisive and whether you agree with them or not you will never forget them. The Alpha male MLM Success Strategy is not about winning a popularity contest, instead this individual embraces the path least traveled and thrives on the challenges of the unknown. The people who prefer to sit back and let this Alpha male take the lead can only hope to succeed by studying and then applying the lessons they have learned while in their company.

The people who say ”I could never do that, I’m not a salesperson, I don’t want to be rich, I’m not a public speaker etc. are comparable to someone riding a 10 speed bicycle pedaling as hard as they can while squeezing the brakes. The Alpha male has fear like everyone else but is willing to face their fear and step outside of their comfort zone. They recognize that they are going to make mistakes and they also realize that, that is a necessary step to success.

Meanwhile the 98% network marketers are busy studying so they don’t make any mistakes or just waiting to see how things go. This 98% will do anything to preserve the status quo they do not want to rock the boat. They say things like a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, haste makes waste while the Alpha male says He who hesitates is lost!, “Give me liberty or give me death!”

My advice to you is to use an MLM Strategy of the World’s Top Leaders. Study the Leaders throughout history and create composites of their personalities and ask yourself questions like If I was Abraham Lincoln, how would I handle this situation, or If I was Churchill, what could I say to get people to believe in themselves, or if I was Napoleon, how could I get people to follow my lead, or if I was Martin Luther King, what would I need to say to get people to believe in their dreams.

So what does this have to do with your MLM success strategy? In this new millennia that we find ourselves, there are vast arrays of systems and technologies all designed to make our marketing efforts more productive. There is not a day goes by that my e-mail tray is not filled to the brim with the latest, greatest, just revealed, tightly guarded secret that I am now about to become the recipient of if I act fast.

While it’s true that we have made some tremendous advancement in technology, it is absolutely critical that we remember our primary purpose in marketing. We help people solve problems and for doing that we get paid accordingly. People that are brand-new to network marketing can easily become consumed by all of the new gizmos that are supposed to put our marketing on autopilot and make us wealthy beyond our imaginations.

No matter how amazing the technology and no matter how much time it has the potential to save us, helping people solve their problems requires a human to human touch. When we attempt to de-personalize our marketing efforts, we run the risk of creating a disconnect to the people we serve. Hours can pass by like seconds as we stare like zombies at our new owners manual for the software package that is supposed to save us huge blocks of time and turn us all into rock stars.

Pick up the phone and call someone or better yet hop in your car and go visit with them. If computers and software programs were all that we needed, we could just go online and buy them plug them and wait for our checks to arrive in our mailbox. Do yourself a favor, don’t buy into all of the hype that the industry tends to throw at us each day. Get to know your prospect, get to know your new business partner and help them. I’m not saying in this article that you should not use technology as part of your MLM success strategy; but instead, just don’t concentrate on it or you will lose out on the joy of successful networking.

Let’s begin with an MLM lead generation reality check.
