I have to tell you that without question there is a strategy that exists that is so amazing and takes so much of the tedious repetitive work out of building your business using the Internet I want to share it with you.  Before I do let me tell you a little about what I experienced before I learned about this strategy.

I got into the network marketing industry about 13 years ago and went through all of my friends and family in the first year and hit a wall. I had too few people to talk to about my opportunity and I was determined to generate momentum. So with no people to present my business to on a daily basis I was at a standstill.

• Relatives treated me like I was confused and needed grounding

I wanted more than mediocre success and was watching others wiz ahead of me. Where did these Newbies find all these people to sign up in their business? Then one night I was asked if I had a website to present my business with. I said no and that I would not get one until I started making some money. I eventually got the website for 20.00 a month and then soon after another and then another. I became website obsessed. I reasoned that each site had some unique characteristic that the others did not have.

I now had 4 websites and only a trickle of people to have visit them. I became so consumed with finding people I could not enter a restaurant or a nightclub without accosting someone. Now I still agree with always looking for people you think would be a good fit but I must confess that I was less than discerning in who I invited to my sites. I went to a Millionaire Minds weekend conference put on by Harv Eker and I went wild with my recruiting efforts and even sponsored a couple people in those two days.

They say you should always sponsor up – bring people into your business that have equal or higher social standing in your community but this was one thing I found way outside of my comfort zone perhaps because of the way my family reacted to my MLM involvement. Each day I would go about my normal activities but some sort of transformation took place within me that others saw that I did not. I was never at ease I was always recruiting. Every person I would chat with became a potential rep for my business.

Over the years I turned more to leads and primarily because I built my business outside of my country. I recall being told that leaders attract leaders and along with them their teams. Calling prospects with no prior experience or success always left me being the mover and shaker amidst the people in my team of people that hoped my pixy dust would rub off on. Most of the people I recruited never recruited anyone and I believe that it was because they didn’t really believe in the industry or products or maybe they had relatives that were harder on them than mine were on me.

I learned the hard way that it is way easier to sign up leaders that have followings that those that are skeptical of those so called “pyramid schemes”. Calling people that are already in the industry and attracting them to your business is by far the best way to build quickly.

In  my series of what I consider to be the best MLM success strategy I wanted to include planning to succeed. I don’t think anyone can be more easily distracted than myself. Each morning I go to my computer and I can hardly wait to see what e-mail I’ve received. What I’m looking for is some magic e-mail that will give me some really cool marketing strategy that I can add to my toolkit.

Fact #1 : E-Mail Can Drain Your Day of Productivity!

E-Mail should be read at the end of the day when there’s nothing productive left to do. Each e-mail you received carries with it the seed of distraction. Everyone these days is coming up with some earth shattering secret that they are going to release for a limited time and you have to act now.

Fact #2 : If You Don’t Plan Your Day It Will Drain Away!

By planning your day you’re able to prioritize the activities that you need to have done. You need to work on the activities that are important but not urgent. Your goal should be to minimize the number of urgent activities. Too often we focus on non-important activities that are not urgent. The night before you should write down the list of activities  you need to have completed and then afterwards number them in terms of importance.

Fact #3 : Schedule Your Interruptions If You Want Maximum Productivity!

Planned interruptions may sound weird or absurd but it can make the difference between productivity and minimal performance. When you have activities that need to be done that are important turn your phone off, turn your Skype off, put a sign on your door – Do Not Disturb etc. Take an inventory of any potential interruptions and then take preventative measures. Identify the times that you will accept and return phone calls – defer all other calls to voicemail.

Fact #4 The Only Targets You Hit Are the Ones You Aim for!

Target your activity goals, in other words determine how many presentations you will do each day before you begin your calls. An example might be you target five presentations in the morning and five presentations in the afternoon. If you don’t set a specific number of presentations for yourself  it is likely that you would not even achieve even 50% of what you would have completed if you had set minimum daily activity targets.

Fact #5 Get Your Ugliest Task of the Day Done Immediately, or go buy ulcer medication!

Get the ugly job done now, I don’t think there’s anyone that has procrastinated as much as myself in avoiding the ugly job. There are some things that I just don’t like to do and I’ll do just about anything else to avoid getting that ugly job done. Sadly the longer that I procrastinate, the tenser I get. It can get so bad that at the end of the day I have a migraine. This ugly job has to get done and you will feel so much better when you have it completed.

There is an old saying that if you don’t plan to succeed you have planned to fail and the longer that I’m in business for myself the more I have found these words to be true. 10. My sponsor never helps me – Ego protection due to not taking personal responsibility
