#2 MLM Success Strategy – Responsibility 2/2



I believe it’s critically important that when we sponsor people into our businesses we give them a realistic expectation of what is involved and how long it will take for the financial return to occur. If you hype somebody into your business then just as quickly as they join they will leave as well. When we bring on a new representative in our business, it is critical that we encourage and guide them in creating their business plan.



Some of the things that your new distributor’s business plan should include our for them to:

  • Commit to working their business in writing “that no matter what they will not quit”
  • Identify the activities they are going to be doing over the next several weeks, several months and several years in your business.
  • Identify the resources and self-development they will need.
  • Identify their “Why” in detail. Their “Why” are their reasons for doing a business. If their “Why” is big enough when the obstacles come, and they will, they’ll be able to stay in the game. If there “Why” is too small, then first challenge that comes along will take them out.
  • Commit to persistence and consistency



Being successful in business is going to be the result of a marathon and not a sprint. Once again it is critical that our new consultants understand that this is a long-term project and that we are going to work with them until they achieve the income that they seek.



We need to prepare our new consultants for this failure that they are going to go through. Sugar-coating ones business to a prospect is setting them up for failure. When your new consultant understands that they will have to go through a period of failure when it happens to them they can look at failure in say I knew you were coming and I’m ready! You’re not taking me out!



All experienced people in marketing understand that 95% of the people that we talked to are not likely going to join our business. So when we call people and introduce them to our business and they reject it they are not rejecting the new distributor they are rejecting the business or perhaps worded differently our solution to their problem. So my mlm success strategy for anyone starting out is that you understand that the secret to your success is that accept that you must fail your way to success and that failure is ok and necessary. I once heard it said that you can’t look good and get better at the same time all successful people know this and understand it to be true.



If you’re not failing in your business then you’re not working your business and if something is worth doing it’s worth doing badly. You will never achieve success until you understand this simple secret you must deal your way to success and the only people that cross the finish line are those that are prepared to do that. I would also like to suggest that your success in your business will be directly proportionate to the amount that you help others achieve their goals. So take the focus off of yourself and become a servant leader and AL Williams said “do it and do it and do it and do it” until you achieve the success you desire because you can’t stroll to your goal. You have what it takes to become a success so make the decision and I’ll see you at the top!
