No Tolerance For My Complaining
Every coach I had in network marketing had a very low threshold when it came to them listening to me complain about how difficult it was to build my business.
At first, I found it somewhat frustrating because I wanted them to agree with me until I realized that what I needed to focus on was not the problem but rather the solution/s.
Leadership Is Not About Genetics
We aren't born being an optimist or pessimist but given that 97% of the world's wealth is held by 3% of the population it's not difficult to figure out why so many people are pessimists.
An amazing thing about true Leaders is that they don't tell you to do things that they don't do every day.
We have all had bosses that were big on telling us what to do, but they would never do it themselves.
Bosses are not Leaders
Jesus saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow Me,” He told him, and Matthew got up and followed Him. — Matthew 9:9 no berating or ordering – just “Follow Me.” Leaders don't dictate or try to embarrass you, they just lead by example and encourage you to follow
Step Where I Step…
I remember one night at a hotel meeting, a group of us gathered in the restaurant and the speaker that had traveled several thousand miles to present his story said this to us: “Guys, I have a military background and I told some young soldiers one time we have a minefield to cross so follow me and step exactly where I step and I'll get you to the other side safely.
He then said, you're not in the military but if you don't approach marketing correctly there's a good chance you will not last in this business, so follow the steps I'm going to share with you, and I’ll get you guys safely to the other side” and then smiled.
That was an amazing night, and he shared things that made a huge difference in my career
